Through his Champ'Seed Foundation, Patrick Mouratoglou seeks to detect and support the best tennis talents in the world. It therefore seemed logical to organize the largest 11 & Under tournament in the world at the Mouratoglou Academy to give youngsters a chance to perform at the highest level and stand out from the crowd.
157 children accompanied by their parents traveled from all over the world to partake in the 1st Mouratoglou 11 & Under tournament. Matches begin this morning at the Academy and will last until Sunday. No doubt the competition among the players will be fierce but fair - one of the main values behind the tournament.
During the opening ceremony which was held yesterday afternoon, players were asked to come onto the court at the call of their nation. They were then given special Mouratoglou gifts and asked to get their picture taken by country group. We look forward to watching the future tennis champions and most importantly hope the players and parents will enjoy their time at the Academy.
