On Saturday, Serena Williams clinched her 6th Wimbledon title. Her 6th title! Most WTA players would be more than happy with 1 title at SW19, not Serena...
Her appetite for winning titles and breaking all the records of women's tennis has no limits, and what a joy it is to watch her fight for every point in her quest to equal Steffi Graf's record of 22 Grand Slam Titles.
A walk in the park, the quest for a 6th Wimbledon title certainly wasn't. Serena came very close to being defeated by local hero Heather Watson in a 3rd round thriller; but as is often the case with the American champion, she managed to find the inner strength to pull through. Her semi-final match against Viki Azarenka, was no different, as the Bielorussian threw the kitchen sink at Serena, but as Andy Roddick would have said, Serena came back with the 'bath tub'.
Her latest achievement at Wimbledon, further proves Patrick's contribution to Serena's game and confidence. A winning partnership that seems to have no limits. There's only one more step for Serena to equal tennis legend Graf, that is to win the US Open. We can't wait!
