Serena Williams made tennis history with her coach Patrick Mouratoglou last Saturday by winning her 7th Wimbledon title, thereby equalling Steffi Graf's all time 22 Grand Slam title record. Serena defeated German player Angélique Kerber 7/5 6/3 in a competitive final.
When asked to comment on the win, her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, was very "releaved to have found back Serena". Patrick felt that Serena's loss to Roberta Vinci at the US Open last year had affected his player badly and that it had taken some time for her to find herself again. "The tennis player (Serena Williams) was there but Serena as a person wasn't really herself. So she was beatable." said Patrick.
The 'Dynamic Duo' will be looking to win Grand Slam number 23 at the US Open at the end of August.
